Important Notes

Significant changes have been made to the Autospreader® configuration window since 7.12.x and this includes the deprecation of properties that may be involved in your Autospreader® strategies. Please refer to Autospreader Features and Parameter Changes in X_TRADER® 7.17 for more details.

Why Should I Upgrade?

X_TRADER® 7.17.10 includes critical fixes for issues found in the field, along with significant enhancements to existing functionality. Some highlights include:
  1. Change Monitoring Username
    Monitoring Username (aka Tag 50 on CME), can now be changed from the X_TRADER® Control Panel to any user in your shared order book.

  2. TT Update Support
    X_TRADER® 7.17.10 can be deployed using the new TT Update installation process which greatly simplifies upgrading to new versions. See the TT Update help section on the TT Website for more information. Please contact your local TAM to begin using TT Update to deploy new versions.

  3. Order Passing [Beta]
    X_TRADER® 7.17.10 is part of a system-wide enhancement that allows execution desks to pass working orders to other groups without the need to share an order book. See the Order Passing Upcoming Initiative page for more information. Order Passing functionality is currently in Beta. Please contact your Account Manager or local TAM if you would like to participate in the Beta.
TT strongly encourages all customers to upgrade to this new version.

X_TRADER® 7.17.10 can be deployed using TT Update. See the TT Update help section for more information. Please contact your local TAM to begin using TT Update to deploy new versions.

When upgrading from existing versions, TT strongly recommends making a backup of your workspaces in a separate location.
  1. X_TRADER® 7.17.x only supports workspaces from previous versions of X_TRADER® 7.12.x and X_TRADER® 7.11x.

  2. X_TRADER® 7.17.x only supports upgrades from previous versions of X_TRADER® 7.12.x and X_TRADER® 7.11x.

  3. If your current software is older than X_TRADER® 7.11.x, TT recommends uninstalling your existing old software and performing a clean install.

Enhancements

  1. Algo Variable Pane
    1. The routing for Autospreader® instruments may now be pre-populated. (Ref 223143)

  2. Audit Trail
    1. Reject messages generated when Avoid Orders That Cross (AOTC) is employed have been re-classified as Reject messages and not Info messages. (Ref 223961)

  3. Installation
    1. A new TT Update installation process simplifies upgrading to new versions. See the TT Update help section on the TT Website for more information. (Ref 221007)

  4. Order Passing
    1. Added ability to pass working orders to other user groups without the need to share an order book. Order Passing is currently in Beta. Please contact your Account Manager or local TAM if you would like to participate in the Beta. (Ref 219839)

  5. Orders
    1. Local management for Trailing Stops has been removed from X_TRADER. X_TRADER® continues to support the entry of Trailing Stops with all management handled on Synthetic SE. (Ref 223140)

    2. Monitoring Username (aka Tag 50 on CME), can now be changed to any user in your shared order book through a new "Monitoring User" selection list box in the Gateway Login window accessible from the X_TRADER® Control Panel. (Ref 224015)

  6. RFQ
    1. X_TRADER will block submission of RFQ's for accounts that are not enabled for RFQ's in TTUS. (Ref 223568)

  7. Wholesale Trades
    1. Added support for the following order types: MEFF - cross trade, flexible contract. (Ref 219290)

    2. Added three features to the Wholesale Order window: (1) The Quantity field is highlighted and in focus when the window is launched. (2) Pressing the asterisk as a hotkey adds three zeros to the end of an order quantity. (3) The account field is seeded with the account present in Order Pane. (Ref 224083)

    3. Added support for committed orders on the Montreal Exchange. (Ref 224703)

    4. Added a property to the right click context menu of the wholesale order window to allow users to submit wholesale orders by pressing the Enter key on their keyboard. (Ref 226117)

  8. Workspaces
    1. Workspace backward compatibility is supported when downgrading from future versions (greater than 7.17.10) to 7.17.10 or higher. (Ref 224519)

  1. Algo Dashboard
    1. Gateway has been added as a metric when searching for a Customer Default in the Algo Dashboard. (Ref 226172)

  2. Autotrader
    1. Fixed an issue where Autotrader set with Throttle Quotes would attempt to throttle a legged Autospreader® order. (Ref 224752)

  3. Contract-Handler
    1. Fixed an issue where the PctChng column display could be incorrect. (Ref 223612)

    2. Fixed an issue where EPIQ could stop working if the order server stopped and restarted. (Ref 225601)

    3. Fixed an issue where synthetic spreads may appear non-tradable in Market Grid or MD Trader® when they in fact were tradable. (Ref 226088)

  4. Export Data
    1. Fixed an issue where all tabs of the Fill Pane in OFW would not always export as part of a scheduled Fill Pane export. (Ref 224930)

  5. Fill Window
    1. Fixed an issue where fills which were configured to export on shutdown in Fill Window would not export. (Ref 224754)

    2. Fixed an issue where Fill Window may not show all fills when Fill Window is included in a start up workspace. (Ref 225906)

  6. Floating Order Book
    1. Fixed an issue where Floating Order Book could show stale orders which were filled. (Ref 224929)

  7. MD Trader
    1. Fixed an issue where change in ownership of an order was not immediately picked up when viewing your owners only. (Ref 223626)

  8. Order Bar
    1. Fixed an issue where floating order bar could crash X_TRADER® if a hotkey is enabled and the user attempts to send order with no routing instructions. (Ref 225145)

  9. Order Fill Handler
    1. Fixed an issue where SOD's may not be included in risk calculations when the gateway starts after X_TRADER. (Ref 225063)

  10. Spread Matrix
    1. Fixed an issue where the Butterfly Matrix could show empty NetPosition after opening from a workspace. (Ref 225033)

  11. Workspaces
    1. Hedge Manager rules are now saved by default when saving a workspace. (Ref 224577)
