Important Notes

Why Should I Upgrade?

This release includes support for a trading "kill-switch", and introduces the TT User Setup API.
  • The trading "kill switch" allows an administrator to disable trading for their whole environment. While this switch is enabled, no additional orders can be submitted, and existing orders cannot be changed, but trading administrators (TTADMXXXMGR users) are still able to cancel existing orders. The "kill switch" is supported with the TT Gateways 7.17.30 and later. For more information refer to the TT User Setup Online Help.

Note: In MultiBroker, the "kill-switch" can only be enabled by a Broker administrator (and only for that Broker's company); in non-MultiBroker, the "kill switch" can only be enabled by a super administrator.

  • The TT User Setup API provides a programmatic interface to TT User Setup, providing software developers the tools for creating custom applications. For example, a developer could use the TT User Setup API to update product position limits for a user or account. For more information refer to the TT User Setup API Developers Center.
Note: When upgrading to this version from a 7.4.x version, refer to the TT User Setup 7.17.10 Release Notes for information about the features introduced in TT User Setup 7.17.10, important upgrade considerations, installation notes, enhancements, and fixes.

Enhancements

  1. General
    1. Added a trading "kill switch", which allows an administrator to disable trading for their whole environment. While this switch is enabled, no additional orders can be submitted, and existing orders cannot be changed, but trading administrators (TTADMXXXMGR users) can still cancel existing orders. For more information refer to the TT User Setup Online Help. (Ref 224776)

  2. Installation
    1. This version of TT User Setup introduces the TT User Setup API. This API provides a programmatic interface to TT User Setup, and is available as an installation option when installing the TT User Setup client or server. For installation instructions, refer to the TT User Setup System Administration Help. For information about the TT User Setup API, refer to the TT User Setup API Developers Center. (Ref 225391)

Fixes

Known Issues

  1. Reports
    1. Logging onto X_TRADERĀ® increments the TT API entry in the TT Product Version/User Usage report by two. TT API should not be listed at all unless the client specifically logged into TT API. (Ref 220131)

  2. Users
    1. TT User Setup administrators with Live login allowed and TT SIM login allowed both unchecked cannot log into TT User Setup, and FIX Adapter Clients with Live login allowed and TT SIM login allowed both unchecked cannot log into FIX Adapter servers. Future versions will not require either of these checkboxes to log into TT User Setup or FIX Adapters, respectively. The workaround is to check one of these checkboxes for TT User Setup administrators and FIX Adapter Clients. (Ref 219842, 222720)
