Important Notes

TT User Setup Server is now a 64-bit application. In the ASP environment, TT upgrades the servers without any required action from our customers. For non-ASP customers, before installing the server, be aware of the following:
  • The master and slave servers cannot run different software versions.
  • You cannot upgrade directly from a 32-bit application (pre-7.17.80) to a 64-bit version. Instead you must backup the database, un-install the 32-bit version, and then install the 64-bit version.
  • The 64-bit server is compatible with older User Setup clients.
Please contact your TAM if you have questions about upgrading to this 64-bit version.

Why Should I Upgrade?

This release adds MiFID II fields and features to support upcoming X_TRADER®, Algo SE Servers, and Gateway releases.

This includes:
  • New customer default fields
  • New account default fields
  • The ability to set MiFID II tags for both TT and custom algos
  • Support for duplicate order prevention
  • The ability to disable Aggregator functionality

This release is primarily for our customers looking to perform early MiFID II conformance testing. A second release before the end of the year will provide some additional functionality in regards to uploading MiFID II values. The X_TRADER® ASP environment will be upgraded after the coordinating TT User Setup Web Client is released (TT User Setup Web Client 7.17.67.2 ).

Installation Notes

The TT User Setup 7.17.83 server is ONLY compatible with TT User Setup 7.17.0.520, 7.17.10, 7.17.12, 7.17.13, 7.17.20-7.17.24. 7.17.30, 7.17.31, 7.17.40-7.17.42, 7.17.50, and 7.17.60-7.17.84 clients. The TT User Setup 7.17.84 client is not compatible with pre-7.17.84 TT User Setup servers.

To use the latest features, you should use the latest version of the client and server. Additionally, when the system is set to use two-factor authentication via SMS, all TT User Setup clients that will be used to edit user or system 2-factor authentication features must also be upgraded to 7.17.40 or higher. Clients that fail to upgrade will receive error messages or shut down when editing SMS related settings. You cannot upgrade from a 32-bit version of TT User Setup to a 64-bit version of TT User Setup. Instead, save a copy of the User Setup database, uninstall the TT User Setup servers, and then install the 32-bit version. For more information about installing TT User Setup, refer to the TT User Setup System Administration Online Help.

Enhancements

  1. Customer Defaults
    1. This release adds support for MifID II by adding the following fields to customer and account defaults:
      • Direct Electronic Access - true or false
      • Trading Capacity - DEAL, MATCH, or AOTC
      • Liquidity Provision - true or false
      • Commodity Derivative Indicator - true or false
      • Investment Decision - Free-form text
      • Execution Decision - Free-form text
      • Client - Free-form text
In addition, TT User Setup added 3 new free-form text fields to customer and account defaults (FFT4, FFT5, and FFT6) that may be used for exchanges with additional required fields. (Ref 233493)

    2. Added support for assigning MiFID II tags to both custom and TT Algos. From the Customer Defaults and Account Defaults windows, when the "Show Algo Settings" checkbox is checked, administrators can assign Investment Decision, Execution Decision, Liquidity Provision, Direct Electronic Access, and free-form MiffId tags to Aggregator, Autospreader®, Autotrader, Liquidate, Sniper, Synthetic SE, and custom algos, per market if needed. (Ref 233680)

  2. Risk Limits
    1. Added support for duplicate order rejection at an account and account group level. Note that this feature requires TT Gateways 7.18.25 or later, due to be released over the next few months. Once supported by the Gateways, administrators will be able to prevent a configurable number of duplicate orders within a single rolling second by checking the "Prevent Duplicate Orders" option and setting the number allowed. (Ref 233969)

    2. Added the ability to disable TT Aggregator access in X_Trader. This will be supported by Algo SE 7.17.90 and X_TRADER® 7.17.80. (Ref 233976)

  3. Users
    1. "Executing Firm" can be set as a value per User and their Gateway Login. This is needed for MifID II compliance starting January 3. (Ref 234039)
