Installation Notes

When upgrading from existing versions, TT strongly recommends you upgrade FMDS while the markets are closed to avoid gaps in the stored data.
  1. FMDS 7.6.3 (32-bit) supports upgrades from previous versions of FMDS 7.5.x and FMDS 7.4.x. If your current software is older than FMDS 7.4.0, TT recommends uninstalling your existing old software and performing a clean install.

  2. FMDS 7.6.3 (64-bit) does not support upgrades from a 32-bit FMDS. If your current FMDS is 32-bit running on a 64-bit operating system and you would like to upgrade to the 64-bit FMDS, you must uninstall your existing version and perform a clean install of the 64-bit version. Note, uninstalling FMDS does not remove your historical data files.

  3. Please consult the FMDS manual section titled "Transfer FMDS to a New Server" for information about moving FMDS and its data files should you want to perform an operating system upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit.

Enhancements

Fixes

Known Issues

  1. FMDS requires consolidation of archive files on a weekly or monthly schedule. TT has observed degradation of FMDS response times once archive file counts exceed 1,400 archive files. TT strongly recommends FMDS administrators consolidate archives before the file count is greater than 1,000 archives. Please note, if a weekly consolidation is setup and 52 archives are created a year, FMDS has the ability to achieve over 19 years of history before reaching the 1,000 archive limit. Please contact your TAM and consult the FMDS User Manual for information on how to consolidate archive files.
