Installation Notes

If you are upgrading to this version from Synthetic SE 7.2.x or Synthetic SE 7.3.2 or higher, all synthetic orders will be resumed after Synthetic SE is restarted.

If you are upgrading to this version from Synthetic SE 7.3.0 or 7.3.1, you must:
  • Delete all synthetic orders.
  • Delete all Synthetic SE order persistence files (root:\tt\datfiles\SSE_Persistence_*).
To confirm that all synthetic orders have been deleted prior to upgrading from Synthetic SE 7.3.x, you should:
  1. Create a list of all TT Gateways to which the Synthetic SE is configured to connect.
  2. Create a Universal Login ID that is mapped to all of the TT Gateways in this list and the Synthetic SE with administrative credentials that have the ability to view the orders and fills of all traders that use the Synthetic SE (such as TTADM/XXX/VIEW). Alternatively, you could use an existing user ID if one that meets the these criteria already exists.
  3. Login to X_TRADERĀ® Pro using this user ID.
  4. Open the X_TRADERĀ® Orders and Fills Window and select the View Working button in the upper right-hand corner.
  5. Any orders that have Link Type value of SSE must be deleted before proceeding with the upgrade.
If you are upgrading from a 32-bit version of Synthetic SE to a 64-bit version of Synthetic SE, you must:
  1. Save the contents of the root:\tt\datfiles\ directory to a safe location.
  2. Uninstall all TT software including Synthetic SE, Guardian, and TTM.
  3. Install the 64-bit version of Synthetic SE. This package includes the necessary versions of all required TT software including Guardian and TTM.
  4. Copy all saved files back to the root:\tt\datfiles\ directory.
TT requires all customer sites to complete a pre-installation impact analysis and network optimization before Synthetic SE is installed. TT Technical Account Managers (TAMs) will be responsible for installing and configuring Synthetic SE, as it will not be available for download on the Customer Portal.
