Important Notes

If you are currently using TT Update to manage TT Client applications and you have not already added TTUpdateEnabled=1 to the TTUserSetupServer.ini file on the TT User Setup servers, you must do so prior to upgrading. Failing to add this parameter will disable TT Update for all TT client applications.

Why Should I Upgrade?

Note: When upgrading to this version from a 7.4.x version, refer to the TT User Setup 7.17.10 Release Notes for information about the features introduced in TT User Setup 7.17.10, important upgrade considerations, installation notes, enhancements, and fixes.

This release introduces support for the following features:
  • Order Passing in MultiBroker: The MultiBroker order passing feature (currently in Beta), allows members of one Order Passing Group to pass one or more working orders to members of another Order Passing Group without the need to share an order book; broker administrators create and manage Order Passing Groups. Orders can be passed between a broker and the buy-side users that have a relationship with the broker, or between two buy-side companies that have a relationship with the broker, but not between different brokers.

Order Passing in MultiBroker requires X_TRADER® 7.17.40 or higher, TT User Setup 7.17.30 or higher, and TT Gateway versions 7.17.30 or higher. For more information about Order Passing in X_TRADER®, refer to the X_TRADER Help. For information about configuring Order Passing groups, refer to the Order Passing Group Administrtion section of the TT User Setup Help.

  • Allowing Buy-side Administrators in MultiBroker to Manage Gateway Login Risk: FCMs taking advantage of account-based risk can now provide their clients with the ability to manage trader-based risk for their own users, while the FCMs maintain exclusive risk management control of the clients' accounts or account groups.

If a broker enables the buy-side administrator's "Manage trader-based product limits" option, the buy-side administrator can edit product limits for existing Gateway Logins that are assigned to the buy-side users by that broker. The buy-side administrator cannot create Gateway Logins, manage account-based risk, or change any additional broker controlled settings. For more information, refer to the Allowing a Buy-side Administrator to Manage Product Limits topic in the TT User Setup Help.

  • Two-factor authentication via Email: Administrators can now require users to use email-based two-factor authentication when logging onto their X_TRADER®, X_RISK, and TT User Setup applications. Two-factor authentication requires X_TRADER® and X_RISK 7.17.40 or higher and TT User Setup 7.17.30 or higher, and the TT User Setup Server machine must have the ability ot send an email. For more information about two-factor authentication, refer to the What's New in TT User Setup? section of the TT User Setup Help.

This release also:
  • Updates the CME Product Group Permissions report to list FIX Clients and the maximum concurrent logins, where applicable
  • Adds CME Europe as a Product Group Permission
  • Adds an entry to the TT User Setup audit trail when an administrator blocks or allows a CME product group for a user
  • Removes the Operator ID requirement for View-only trading administrators connecting to Eurex
  • Adds a FIX Adapters and their FIX Clients report
  • Allows Broker Administrators in TT's MultiBroker environment to set passwords to never expire for automated users (like HFS or Trade Tracker servers)
  • Allows TT User Setup administrators to enable or disable the use of Autotrader, Autospreader® Desktop, and X_TRADER® API, per user (requires X_TRADER® 7.17.40 or later). Note: Users with access to TT API will continue to be able to use TT API's local Autospreader® functionality; this will be addressed in a future release of TT API.

Installation Notes

When TT Update is not installed on the TT User Setup client workstation, you must manually install a supported TT User Setup client. When TT Update is installed on the TT User Setup client workstation, TT Update will automatically update the TT User Setup client to match the TT User Setup server. The TT User Setup 7.17.30 server is ONLY compatible with TT User Setup 7.17.0.520, 7.17.10, 7.17.12, 7.17.13, 7.17.20, 7.17.21, 7.17.22, 7.17.23, 7.17.24. and 7.17.30 clients. The TT User Setup 7.17.30 client is not compatible with pre-7.17.30 TT User Setup servers.

To use the latest features, you should use the latest version of the client and server. For more information about TT Update, refer to the TT Update Help. For more information about installing TT User Setup, refer to the TT User Setup System Administration Online Help.

Enhancements

  1. Audit Trail
    1. The TT User Setup audit trail now lists when an administrator blocks or allows a CME product group for a user. (Ref 228584)

  2. MultiBroker
    1. Brokers in TT's MultiBroker environment can now set passwords to never expire for automated users (like HFS or Trade Tracker servers). (Ref 227460)

    2. Added support for X_TRADER's Order Passing feature to the MultiBroker environment. The Order Passing feature allows members of one Order Passing group to pass one or more orders to members of another Order Passing group. For more information about Order Passing in X_TRADER®, refer to the X_TRADER Help. For information about configuring Order Passing groups, refer to the Order Passing Group Administration section of the TT User Setup Help. (Ref 227995)

    3. Added a new field, Manage trader-based product limits (cannot manage account-based risk), that allows a broker administrator to grant a buy-side administrator the ability to add and edit product limits to existing Gateway Logins that are assigned to the buy-side administrator's users. (Ref 227996)

  3. Reports
    1. Added a report that shows the FIX Adapter servers and the clients to which they are connected. (Ref 222272)

    2. Updated the CME Product Group Permissions report to include the maximum concurrent logins, where applicable. (Ref 228572)

    3. Updated the CME Product Group Permissions report to include FIX Adapter client users. (Ref 228573)

  4. Risk Limits
    1. For account-based product limit risk checking, the maximum order size for a wholesale order override can now be set to 0 (which disables wholesale orders for a specific product). (Ref 228319)

  5. Server
    1. Added limited support for custom reports in the MultiBroker environment. (Ref 228949)

  6. Users
    1. TT User Setup administrators can now enable or disable the use of Autotrader, Autospreader®, and X_TRADER® API, per user. The new fields are located on the user's Application Permissions tab. (Ref 227997)

    2. Added support for email-based two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication is enabled or disabled for a whole system from the Password Rules tab of the System Settings window and requires system level outgoing email settings. Once enabled for the system, two-factor authentication can be enforced per user, by checking the Two-factor authentication option in the Login section of the User profile and ensuring that the user has a valid email address configured. Users that have two-factor authentication enabled will be required to enter the authorization code that is sent to their email address. (Ref 228003)

    3. Added CME Europe as a Product Group. (Ref 228093)

Fixes

  1. Admin User
    1. Fixed an issue where TT User Setup required operator IDs for VIEW only trading administrator IDs (TTORDxx XXX VIEW) on Eurex gateways. Now VIEW only trading administrators are excluded from the Eurex operator ID requirement. (Ref 228478)

  2. Server
    1. Fixed an issue where TT User Setup occasionally allowed customer default records to be saved with an empty Gateway field.

Note: Using a TT User Setup 7.17.24 or earlier client to edit a customer default that has an empty Gateway field will cause an error. Either use a TT User Setup 7.17.30 or later client to edit this customer default, or delete it and create a new customer default record. (Ref 228987)

Known Issues

  1. Reports
    1. Logging onto X_TRADER® increments the TT API entry in the TT Product Version/User Usage report by two. TT API should not be listed at all unless the client specifically logged into TT API. (Ref 220131)

    2. The "Most recent X_TRADER® Version" report appears to list multiple entries for the same user and IP address. However, the duplicate entry is actually the X_STUDY® version and can be disregarded. (Ref 227295)

  2. Users
    1. TT User Setup administrators with Live login allowed and TT SIM login allowed both unchecked cannot log into TT User Setup, and FIX Adapter Clients with Live login allowed and TT SIM login allowed both unchecked cannot log into FIX Adapter servers. Future versions will not require either of these checkboxes to log into TT User Setup or FIX Adapters, respectively. The workaround is to check one of these checkboxes for TT User Setup administrators and FIX Adapter Clients. (Ref 219842, 222720)
